- Applicants will be shortlisted for engagement based on a system-generated merit list.
- The merit list will be prepared by converting the marks obtained in the Secondary School Examination of the 10th standard from approved boards into a percentage with accuracy to four decimal places. It is mandatory for applicants to pass all subjects as per the respective approved board norms.
- For applicants who have marks or marks and grades/points on their Secondary School Examination of the 10th standard mark sheet, only their total marks will be calculated, considering the marks obtained in all compulsory and elective/optional subjects (excluding extra subjects, if any). This ensures that applicants with higher marks are given preference.
- For applicants with only grades assigned subject-wise, marks will be calculated for each subject (both compulsory and elective) by applying a multiplication factor of 9.5 based on the following table:
